OYSTER MUSHROOMS

There are a variety of oyster mushrooms but they are all relatively similar in terms of flavor and kitchen use. Oysters have a savory and lightly earthy flavor without any of the “dirt” or soil flavor notes common with portabellas. They lend themselves well to saute, frying, or dicing and cooking down to a sort of confit. Very versatile and excellent replacement for other common mushrooms.

Flavor: Savory, earthy, light

Texture: Larger caps can be delicate when sliced into strips, smaller caps tend to keep firmer and a little meatier

Shelf life in fridge 10-12 days for oyster 12-14 days for lions mane
Mushrooms are fresh harvested within 1 day of shipment
For storage cook down & freeze. Pull out when wanting to eat
